So my Mom called me and told me about this amazing deal today. Apparently Oprah had a coupon that you could get 50% off ANYTHING at Payless. I talked Sadie into going with me, and we ran down before the store closed...and we shopped...oh did we shop! We had way too much to carry around, so we started our own pile :) This is the start of our lovely finds. Sadie carrying up her goods to the front register. No, we were done shopping...we had to take our stuff up because we had too much and we wanted to keep shopping :) There were a lot of people, a nice long line to wait in. I don't think it was too bad since we went late, but there were still quite a few people. While standing in line we kept finding fun things to buy. We were going to buy matching hats, but when we put them on and saw the picture - we put them back on the shelf...the best thing about his picture is that guy in the back. I might have to spotlight this picture in a different blog post! Leaving the store! I had 6 bags full, and Sadie had 4...we had about $475.00 worth of stuff, but only paid $238.00 for all of our stuff combined! Here are the things I bought. I spent $127.00 I got 3 new hats, a TON of new socks, a new pair of heels, a new pair of hot boots, a pair of tennis shoes, a new purse, new slippers, I also got Shylee 2 new pairs of shoes, and Asher 2 new pairs of shoes and Kirklan a pair of shoes. It was sooo much stuff, I love getting a good deal :) That was my fun little adventure tonight!!! Magic Eraser 10/29/2009
I heard from a friend that the Magic Eraser does wonders on cleaning the bath tub. I will admit I am not a frequent bath tub scrubber. I really don't like scrubbing the tub, it's just not that fun. Well tonight I decided to give the good ol' Magic Eraser a shot. HOLY Amazing batman, it worked so good! I mean with a name like MAGIC eraser, you know it has to be good - but I was really impressed. Are there other things out there I'm not aware of that this bad boy can do? If so, let me know :) Italian Sodas ♥ 10/29/2009
One of my new loves: Italian Sodas Whenever I go to Barnes and Noble, if I'm feeling a little deserving I will treat myself with an Italian soda, they are super amazing! {Super and Amazing in one sentence, dang now you know it's got to be good} We decided to make some last night! They were tasty! Here is an official recipe: ITALIAN SODA Carbonated water 1/4 cup half and half 7 tablespoons of any flavored syrup Ice Whipped cream Measure syrup into a 20 oz cup. Add ice.Pour in half and half. Add carbonated water. Stir well. Serve topped with whipped cream. Enjoy! We just threw the ingredients together, didn't really measure and it still tasted great! Cheers Extra, Extra Read all About it :) 10/28/2009
So my friend Sadie stopped by and asked if I had seen the front page of our local newspaper. She handed me a copy of the newspaper and BA-BAM looky looky my Shrek scene is on the front page :) I was totally stoked! My little shrek scene on the front page of the Shelley Pioneer...who'd a thunk? Close up... Oh I love this... 10/28/2009
I've never had a cute Apron before, or let alone really used an Apron, but I decided...it was time, I needed an apron :) It came in the mail today! I was so excited, I've been wearing this bad boy {or girl} all day! Isn't it cute? I love it. This is me in the kitchen actually cooking some lunch today! Oh thank you Apron for coming into my life... I might actually start doing more around the house, just so I can be with you. Want to see more, check out the website..I think I need another one already. Pumpkin Walk 10/26/2009
Awhile back I committed to making a scene for our local Pumpkin walk. I planned on making something super cool, spending lots of time and energy putting it together. Well, October flew by, I had a minor operation on my arm and somehow I totally spaced it. I got a phone call on Saturday morning asking me if my scene for the Pumpkin walk was ready. "Um, yes it is I replied" totally bluffing. So naturally, I hurry and went to work. I didn't really have a good working camera, so I wasn't able to take pictures of the actual building, sculpting and painting stuff. These are made with gourds :) This is Fiona and Shrek gourd heads out drying in the sun :) The beauty of these gourds is that I didn't have to paint them, they were naturally Shrek green! Here is the finished product, it's supposed to be Shrek, Fiona and one of their kids out trick or treating :) Not to shabby for throwing it together in one day. Next year I'll be better prepared for sure :) Happy Almost Halloween If you live around here go check out the Pumpkin Walk at the North Bingham County park, they have over 25 displays this year :) Halloween! 10/26/2009
Man, I have not been a blogger for quite awhile. I got a new camera today, and so we made a quick little video. I was very surprised that Asher was totally ok with singing in front of the camera! Watch out for more posts, I think I'll be around more then I have been. Five for Fighting Music Review 10/11/2009
Five for Fighting is releasing their new album, Slice tomorrow October 12th! I was chosen by One2One Network to do a music review for the new album. I received the album to listen too before anyone in the world had a chance to hear it! I was excited to be apart of the review, since I've never done something like this before. I got the album and thought "Who are Five for Fighting?" So I did a little research before I listened to the new tunes. I was excited to find out that I was in fact very familiar with some of their songs like Superman and 100 years. I decided to crank up the tunes and listen away. I had high expectations after figuring out who Five for Fighting were, and was excited to see if my expectations would be met. Want a sneak peak yourself? Click here. The album is a collection of stories from friends, family and American servicemen. It's like a diary where John Ondrasik (aka Five for Fighting) speaks his mind about current issues, experiences and sentiments, while setting those thoughts to piano, bass and drums. After learning more about John Ondrasik, I'm also very impressed with the amount of times he spends to support communities, and service men and women. He's also a family man who spends a lot of time with his wife and children. He's a very respectable man. Here is some information on his upcoming tour and tv appearances: TV Appearances: The View 10/14 The Today Show 10/16 Tour Dates: John will be hitting the road in October with An Acoustic Evening with Five For Fighting. The songs are great on record, even better live! Definitely a show worth seeing!
