I have been neglecting my personal blog now that I have been working on my new website. I thought I would provide a few updates here.

I am really excited about the website, I have been working really hard on putting it together, trying to market my stuff, and get giveaways. I have some fun stuff planned, so I hope you all support me on the other blog as well.

So it is official that this blog is now going to be my "family" blog. I will only post family updates here to update my family on what we have been doing. It will be nice to have a separation of the two.

Other updates:
I ate CALAMARI last night...this little chinese lady told me it was cheese sticks. So I said "I really hate seafood, are you sure it's cheese?" She said it was, so I started eating. It was good, because anything fried is good - but then I kept chewing and I could taste the ocean - this was not cheese...it was a sea creature, and I do not eat sea creatures, including squid - but now I can say I've eaten squid, so that's cool I guess ;)

Asher is doing good on reading, he is finally catching onto the concept. He is recently wanting to be a cool kid...like dress cool, make sure his hair is done, he wants to grow his hair out like his cousin Robert (a shag) it's kind of funny. He's a fun little guy, growing up that's for sure. He's starting to like girls -which is funny. I guess he got in trouble at school a few weeks ago for tickling a little girl he sits next too - apparently he likes her :)

Shylee is doing really good. She is excited to have almost finished the first Harry Potter book. She loves to read, and I will find her staying up late reading in her bed quite commonly. Yesterday she told me something kind of funny. She said "Mom, there was a kid at school and he was saying mean things about you" Me: "Really, what did he say?" She told me" He said: "Your Mom is so fat, she stepped on a dollar bill and it turned into 4 quarters"...I laughed...and Shylee looked at me confused - I told her that "Mom jokes" had been around forever - I didn't mind the joke. She still stood up for me and told the kid he can't talk about her Mom like that - I thought it was kind of funny.

Kirklan is bored out of his mind. Since it's the off season and no hunting and crappy weather his limits on doing stuff as been limited. And he's bored (did I mention that) I think it will be good for farming and warm weather to come so he can have stuff to do.

I have been devoting a lot of time to my website and crafting. As cheesy as it sounds I have been coming in touch with my inner artistic being - I really have a sense of happiness and accomplishment when I am creative, so this is a good thing for me.

I hope to come to SLC soon to visit family (I'm thinking in 2 weeks) That would be fun!

We'll that's all there are our casa. Once I get my other blogging world streamlined I will make sure to blog here more often :)

I've been lacking in the blog posts...

I thought I would provide a mini update of what's been going on around here.

  ♥ I have been working on designing a new blog, hopefully it will be ready soon. It will feature crafts, thrifting, giveaways, coolness and more coolness. I will be sure to update you when it's ready for your viewing pleasure.

♥ I found out I am going to be a Great Aunt, which is totally great...I mean I'll be 29 and a Great Aunt, who would have thunk...the new Mom to be - Destiney my cute niece..crazy that she is old enough to be a Mom.

♥ I have been to DI and found some fun things I am currently fixing up - more on those later.

♥ I thought about giving up diet pepsi, that lasted for about 2 days. I went to the store today and they had Diet Pepsi for $1.99 for a 12 pack...hello, who can't drink diet pepsi at that price. I broke down and bought more.

♥ I have subscribed to soooo many craft, thrifty, craft blogs that my head is spinning. I think I am going to take a break from blog reading for at least a week.

♥ I am thirsting for sun, warmth, and sun. I can't wait for it to warm up. I have been spending time getting my flower bed ready to plant flowers...I need the sun.

♥ I have started another painting. Once it's finished I'll be happy to share...still a work in progress, but painting and creating brings me such happiness. I love it.

We have been doing good. There is something about the winter that makes me an instant hermit. I haven't had much desire to get out and do much. I have been spending a lot of time with my family, working, walking and staying home. I kind of feel out of touch with many people right now, so I'm hoping as the weather warms up I will get back to my old cool self.

I hope to make it to Utah soon to visit my family.

Well there you go, a little glimpse into some things that have been going on.

I am cleaning out crap off my computer and came across a few random pictures that I drew...reasons unknown...but thought I would share :)

Some of these are super old...who knows when they were done.


These ones on the bottom were drawn when I worked the PM shift at my work. When we'd get REALLY bored we'd play this drawing game where we each took turns drawing something and had to keep adding to the pictures to make a random picture. I saved a few that I did, so these are those bored at work game pictures....

It was kind of fun finding these old beauties...thanks for letting me share :)

This is Asher this morning with Axel, he always has to come say hi right when he wakes up, so don't mind the bed head ;)

Now Axel is a big dog...he doesn't seem that big to us anymore since we are used to his size, but I thought I would try to post a picture that shows off his size a little better.

So here is a picture of Axel and Asher sitting next to each other :) hahaha it makes me laugh for some reason.- so I had to share :)

I thought it would be funny to post that I have another dog. Guess what? I have another dog in the house, her name is Lucy.

Thank heavens though she is only visiting. We are watching her for Kallie and Treygon while they are on vacation.

My honey bought me flowers. I was actually quite impressed, he arranged them himself :) They are so pretty, I love flowers.


This is me being happy after I got the flowers...

On Valentines Eve I did "Heart Attacks" for the kids on their bedroom doors. Shylee thought it was fun and cute, Asher walked into my room the next morning with a disappointed "that was lame"

He later decided he liked it, but said he would have rather got a treat or something. I had a day planned of little surprises, so once the treats came around - he decided he liked the Heart Attack after all.

The morning of Valentines I gave my kids and husband an invitation to "A Special Valentines Dinner" that was going to be later that night. I asked them to be dressed up and ready to eat at the fancy El Brittany Restaurant.

These are pictures taken before I took my dates to my fancy restaurant...

I set up a table in the basement, lit candles all over, put up valentines decor and put on some soft music. We then had a candle light dinner. It was fun to do something kind of different.

Shylee said that was the first time she had ever eaten at such a fancy restaurant :)

This is when my guests first arrived at El Restaurant El Brittany :) Asher was so cute, he was all excited and even put on one of Kirklans ties to dress up for his special dinner.

We had a good little night :) After dinner we headed over to our tv room to watch a movie with lots of Valentine treats. It was an excellent Valentines spending time with the ones I love the most!

I'm glad we celebrate this little thing called Love  ♥

Apparently you have to sit up on the counter and sit right next to the tv, somehow that is the best seat in the house :)
